No Crumbs Left Behind, Goes Great With Coffee!

Image
Everyone knows I love coffee. Everyone knows I love treats. So, someone just earned a special place in my heart by bringing me back a box of Crumbs Cupcakes from their Midwest visit. I had the bite-sized ones. A beautiful assortment that complement my afternoon coffee perfectly. But today, I woke up thinking that it was Wednesday when it's actually only Tuesday. So, my consolation prize is a pair of mini Crumb Cupcakes with a steaming cup of Ethiopian Harrar. If you don't live near a Crumbs Bake Shop , don't worry, they will ship them to you. Check out all the varieties and color combinations on their website. Perfect for your next tea party, bridal shower or when you want your kid's birthday to be the talk of the playground. www.crumbs.com Good to the last crumb.

Morning Thunder Tea by Celestial Seasonings

Image
I have yet to meet a Celestial Seasonings tea I didn't like. Doesn't mean there aren't any. I just haven't tried them. Anyway, since it's not even 10 a.m. and I've already had two cups of strong coffee, I thought this would be a good time to find out what my daughter has been raving about. Black tea + mate = delicious flavor . I can't even describe this one. It tastes like - tea. Good tea. You'll have to trust me on this one and check it out for yourself. If you're like me, there are some days where you have to take it down a notch from the coffee. I think this Morning Thunder is a happy medium. Thank God It's Friday!

Rep Your Coffee With The Right Tee

Image
A couple of Saturdays ago, I walked into my favorite local artisan coffee shop, "Catahoula Coffee" oblivious to the fact that I was wearing a tee-shirt from one of the big coffee giants. Cut me some slack. It was early. I hadn't had my first cup. I was a little "out of it." Anyway, Timber, the owner/barista/roastmeister didn't throw me out. He simply asked, "What are you doing???" That's when I realized, I was about to be mobbed. Being the kind soul that he is, and not wanting to see a lady ripped to shreds by a bunch of angry Catahouligans, he ran to the back of the store, handed me a tee-shirt and said, "Quick, put this on!" I'm sorry for disrespecting the good folks at Catahoula , but I sure am happy with my new Catahoula tee which bears the picture of none other than my favorite coffee-dog, "Lola," who happens to have her own blend here. If you're not fortunate enough to live near Catahoula Coffee, no wor

Galaxy Desserts Are Out of This World!

Image
Hand crafted Artisan Coffees deserve to be paired with fine hand-crafted Artisan Desserts. That's where Galaxy Desserts come into the picture. Galaxy Desserts are simply amazing. It's no wonder their artisan desserts and croissants have been named one of "Oprah's Favorite Things." One of my favorite things is their "Trilogy Mousse Cake." Heavenly. Many of Galaxy's desserts can be ordered online from Williams Sonoma. And you can follow Galaxy Desserts on facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Official-Page-of-Galaxy-Desserts/59270142815 And the man behind the mousse, Jean-Yves Charon, can be located on Twitter at: http://twitter.com/JeanYvesCharon

Welcome to "Cafe Balance"

Image
Welcome to "Cafe Balance," would you care for a Chocolate Almond Biscotti? How about a Cinnamon Bun? Balance Bar introduces two new healthy additions to their line of energy bars. Cafe Chocolate Almond Biscotti and Cafe Cinnamon Bun . I have never met a cinnamon bun that I didn't love and this Balance Bar Cafe Cinnamon Bun is no exception. However, the Chocolate Almond Biscotti is my favorite. I love the almond flavor and the nutty crunch. Keep a few in your brief case or purse for those mornings when you rush out of the house and don't have breakfast. Also perfect for an afternoon snack. Since I favor coffee, that would be my "perfect balance," but I'm sure they are just as yummy with a cup of Earl Grey. At a suggested retail price of 1.49 per bar, they're cheaper than anything you could find on a "fast food" menu and a lot better for you. www.balance.com (Balance Bar provided me with samples of the Cafe Line for the purposes of pre

What Is A Pop Culture Expert And What Kind of Coffee Does She Drink?

Image
I was watching a segment on " The Today Show " last week and a woman was being interviewed about some particular news event. I can't even remember what the story was about. But I can't get her title out of my head, "Pop Culture Expert." It made me wonder if I have what it takes to be a pop culture expert . Is it something that is now being offered as a major in colleges? A Bachelor of Science in Popular Culture? I wonder if there is such a thing? Probably. Anyway, I would imagine that it requires a lot of reading of things like " Us Weekly " and " In Touch ," and even " The National Enquirer ." How many followers do you need on " twitter ?" And of course, you'd have to be on " LinkedIn ," and I would imagine you'd have thousands of Facebook "friends." And you probably have to wear like really high heels and Minx nails and get facial peels and hang out in posh salons and the hippest
