Currently crushing on Starbucks Single Origin Sulawesi .  Dark-roasted and spicy, but not too much so - smokey but  not too smokey.  Almost overbearing - but somehow it manages to creep up to the edge of "this is too strong" and stops abruptly  at "just right." I picked up this bag of beans three days ago and have brewed a pot every morning.  And twice on Sunday. At 14.95 for a one pound bag, it might not be inexpensive, but for the flavor and the fact that it's 100% Ethically Sourced, it's certainly worth it.  And you don't feel guilty for indulging.

Peet's 50th Anniversary "Big Bang" Coffee I think that Peet's should have called it's 50th Anniversary Blend " She Bangs ,"* for the beautiful Ethiopian coffee that lies beneath this medium roast limited edition coffee. When I first saw the name, I assumed it was "twice as strong," and "twice the caffeine."  And if you know anything about Peet's Coffee , you know that it's known for its deep, bold roasts.  I thought, "I certainly can't handle double the bold." But, as it turns, out " Big Bang " is the name for what is one of the best medium roasted coffees to come out of Peet's in a while.   Anniversaries are special.  50th anniversaries very, very special. So, Happy Anniversary, Peet's!  You Bang! *   " She Bangs " is a song performed by  Ricky Martin , from his 2000 album  Sound Loaded .

Nothing says "I love you" like a surprise package of coffee. Two of my favorite coffee shop drinks to order are " A Tall Italian ," and "A Short Drip."  I just get such a kick out of saying that to the barista.  I know.  I'm silly. So, naturally, I couldn't stop giggling when I came home after a long week at work and found a two pound bag of freshly roasted, dark French/Italian blend beans on my front porch. A gift from my tall, handsome nephew which is much better than a Hallmark card to say, "Just Because." For coffee lovers, like myself, it's always comforting to know that those people who are the most important in your life think you're important too.   I'm ready to "Spring Forward" and face the week ahead. Mugs up!

Not sure how I "slept" on this one but I just put Philz Aromatic Arabic in my I-Phone Notes.  Though, I'm pretty sure I can't forget it.  That's a good way to describe it "unforgettable." This dark, woodsy roast has had me "on point" for the last three days.  And it's on sale this month for only 14.00 for a 12 ounce bag.   I've tried several pairings and so far the one I like most is the everything bagel, scooped and toasted with cream cheese and a large steaming mug of "Aromatic Arabic."  Also, may be enjoyed all by itself.  Pure pleasure.

I used to order Gevalia Coffee many years ago.   Back then, Gevalia would send you a free coffee maker with your first order.  I hadn't thought about their coffee in a very long time.  Not until Cross Country Café sent me these "Dark Royal Roast" K-Cups to review. First impression:  Very nice logo photo on the K-Cup itself.   Second impression:  The proof is in the cup. Third impression:  One, two, three sips - nothing remarkable. Fourth sip and final impression - rich roast, smooth coffee, not bitter, easy-peasey. Ready for my second cup! Available online from Cross Country Café .
