My New Hobby Goes Great with Coffee - Coffee in the Garden

I've found the perfect place to have my morning coffee. In my front yard garden. Blooming where I'm planted. And by planted, I mean sitting in my folding chair under my folding umbrella in my front yard, coffee in hand, with eyes on my veggies. I've always found so much joy in my morning cup of joe. And now, my new hobby is providing me the perfect place to sip my favorite brew. Suns out - mugs up!

I have consumed a lot of coffee over the last couple of decades, but it's mainly through "trial and error," "word of mouth," or "pure luck," that I found those I've enjoyed the most. Coffee Review: Philz "Tesoro" Blend

For a coffee company that's only 10 years old, Philz has managed to create quite a buzz.  Born in San Francisco, the news is spreading and Berkeley is enjoying this hand-crafted, independent roaster as well. This was only my second or third visit to the Berkeley shop.  Parking is a little hard to find in this North Berkeley "gourmet ghetto," but the other morning I took a different route to work and pulled right into the perfect spot for the perfect cup. The pour-over method they use takes a little more time and patience than the usual "fill-er-up," so I opted for a half pound bag of beans which I ground up and brewed this morning.  There are also many other "Philz specials," including the Mint Mojito coffee that I'd like to try.  Another review for another day. Philz Mint Mojito - An Iced Coffee Lover's Dream (A Guest Review)

I loved Philz' Mint Mojito from the first skeptical sip I took of the creamy minty caffeine libation.   I have had a Peppermint Latte from another coffee house and was much unimpressed with the presentation and taste.   But, when I received this drink, I was immediately impressed with the large sprig of mint that prominently peered at me from a marbled brown and white pool of liquid with large cubes of ice breaking the surface.   I am not much for coffee drinks, I normally take mine black.   This drink might change all that, if only for this one drink.  If you are a coffee lover, you must try this Philz Coffee creation.
