Starbucks Green Apron Blend

I typically do not drink blond roast coffee from Starbucks.

I happened to notice the packaging at the counter when I was picking up a bag of Pike Place and the Green Apron Blend caught my eye.

After a quick discussion with the barista on duty, I was inclined to learn more.  Story here.

It's good to explore and try new things.  Especially coffee.

If you're willing to give it a "shot," I think you'll be pleased.

Morning Thunder Tea by Celestial Seasonings

I have yet to meet a Celestial Seasonings tea I didn't like. Doesn't mean there aren't any. I just haven't tried them. Anyway, since it's not even 10 a.m. and I've already had two cups of strong coffee, I thought this would be a good time to find out what my daughter has been raving about. Black tea + mate = delicious flavor . I can't even describe this one. It tastes like - tea. Good tea. You'll have to trust me on this one and check it out for yourself. If you're like me, there are some days where you have to take it down a notch from the coffee. I think this Morning Thunder is a happy medium. Thank God It's Friday!

Pilon Coffee

My sister went to Miami last week and brought me back - you guessed it - coffee! Pilon Coffee . I had never seen this brand before but apparently it's a staple in every household in Cuba. She brought me the "Pilon Gourmet Espresso." Don't be turned off by the word "espresso," it's a dark roast which can be used for drip or pour over. I won't lie to you and tell you it's not strong.
