Starbucks 3 Region Blend 2013 - Buy It for the Packaging - Brew It For the Flavor

Image
I couldn't remember if I liked the 3 Region Blend last year or not, so I kept passing it up in the bin at Starbucks . Then I went back and looked over my blog posts, and realized that 3 Region ( Latin America, Africa/Arabia and Asia/Pacific  )  was one of my all-time Starbucks limited offering favorites.   Is fruity, scent-y, nutty, dark and delicious.  Is good. p.s. - really "digging" this year's packaging

How Chamelon Cold Brew Made Me "The Most Popular Person In the Office"

Image
Funny how coffee has a way of bringing people together. Even funnier how " Chameleon Cold Brew " has a way of bringing all the cool people together. For my review of Chameleon Cold Brew Coffee , I placed a bottle on the bar of the kitchenette on the floor, on the side of the building where most of the "hipsters" reside.  Mind you, I don't sit on that side of the building, but something told me that this little trial would soon make my name known to the folks with the newest phones and largest number of apps. I also posted a little note saying that I would love to hear what people thought of this coffee.  Signed by, me, of course.  I included the warning that they should "dilute" it because it is extremely concentrated .  It contains 270 mg of caffeine per serving. Result:  I had people coming over to my side of the building to my desk to say, "Is there more than one Dorothy or are YOU the one who put the coffee out?  That stuff is aw

Goes Great With Coffee

Image
My niece and her husband went on a European vacation and I got butter biscuits. Way better than a tee-shirt and they go amazingly well with coffee. These babies pair well with French Roast, Mocha Java, Cafe Au Lait, Espresso - heck, everything goes with butter, right? They came from a bakery in Brussels called "Maison Dandoy" (Dandoy House) and the proper name for this cookie/biscuit/tasty treat is:  "Speculoos" I'm fairly certain translates to "awesome, decadent and downright delicious."

Traveling the Globe Without a Passport - Starbucks Reserve (TM) - FAIR TRADE TANZANIA HIGHLANDS

Image
In about sixth grade, I remember learning about all the countries of the world.  One name that always stood out in my mind was "Tanzania."  Sort of up there with Constantinople in my memory bank of elementary school lessons. I'm not sure why I liked the name so much.  I just did.  I mean, I didn't want to name my daughter Tanzania, but, you know what I mean. Anyhow, who would have thought that all these years later, the name alone would draw me to the coffee?  Oh, sure, I really love Starbucks Reserve (TM) coffees, but lately, I've made an effort to try more medium blends.  But this package just called my name when I saw it on the shelf at my favorite Starbucks Clover store. This coffee is so good I can hardly find the words to describe it.  I'm not saying it's the best coffee I've ever had, but it's certainly in the top 20 for sure. I taste chocolate and flowers and fruit.  I once heard someone refer to coffee as "nectar of
