It's Tea Time! La Myx, a Great Place to Sip and Relax

Wanted to get my feng-shui on last night. Met my friend, Dede, for tea. I love coffee. Dede only drinks tea. Ying and yang.

We went to the cutest tea bar on Piedmont Avenue in Oakland. La Myx. It's a great place to meet, eat, sip and reflect.

I had the "Oriental Beauty," which is an oolong tea and Dede had chai with milk.

I also had mochi to go along with my tea.

Two hours passed before we knew it.

Friendly staff, nice crowd and lots of free parking.

And, I slept very well last night.

    Wow!!! I had no idea this tea bar existed. I'm always treaking about on Piedmont Avenue and I will certainly put this on my "Relaxation and Kicking Back" destination list.

    Nothing soothes like a cup or two of really good steeped tea!

All Time Favorite Coffee Jingles

I have consumed a lot of coffee over the last couple of decades, but it's mainly through "trial and error," "word of mouth," or "pure luck," that I found those I've enjoyed the most. And, of course, the folks who reach out and let me know about the great coffees that are out there. But with micro roasters becoming more and more popular, and grocery store coffee being talked about less, even though many supermarket varieties are very good, I can't help but remember some of those jingles and television commercials that remain etched in my mind.
