The year was 1978.  Long before the "Third Wave" of coffee, Carlo Di Ruocco immigrated to San Francisco and founded Mr. Espresso.  

His mission:  introducing authentic wood-fire coffee roasting to the United States.

Sometimes in our quest for the next new thing, we forget there was already a model in place and it was a great model.

Cheers to Mr. Espresso.  You've never disappointed me.

Morning Thunder Tea by Celestial Seasonings

I have yet to meet a Celestial Seasonings tea I didn't like. Doesn't mean there aren't any. I just haven't tried them. Anyway, since it's not even 10 a.m. and I've already had two cups of strong coffee, I thought this would be a good time to find out what my daughter has been raving about. Black tea + mate = delicious flavor . I can't even describe this one. It tastes like - tea. Good tea. You'll have to trust me on this one and check it out for yourself. If you're like me, there are some days where you have to take it down a notch from the coffee. I think this Morning Thunder is a happy medium. Thank God It's Friday!
