SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Spark some romance and warm some hearts with Denny’s this Valentine’s Day as America’s Diner is offering guests a free cup of its new coffee blends on Feb. 14. Earlier this year, the restaurant chain unveiled three new blends – the Signature Diner Roast, Dark Diner Roast and Signature Decaf Roast.

 
With 87 million cups of coffee sold at Denny’s each year, the new coffee program – a result of two years of rigorous consumer testing and product trials – replaces the previous pot brew system with all-new equipment, serving accessories and machines that brew the new blends in each of the restaurant’s 1,680 locations.

 
“There’s no question that coffee is one of the most important items on a diner menu and our guests expect the best cup of coffee each time they walk through the door,” said John Dillon, vice president of marketing and product development for Denny’s. “When it came to overhauling and upgrading our coffee offerings, we wanted to make sure that our blends set a new standard across the board. We took our time to conduct two years of product testing, a true labor of love – and we love the results. So, what better day than Valentine’s Day to share our new blends with our valued guests?”

 
Guests are invited to visit Denny's restaurants nationwide on Feb. 14 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. to enjoy a free cup of one of the new coffee blends. The Signature Diner Roast, Dark Diner Roast and Signature Decaf Roast are the first of several exciting new coffee additions to be introduced throughout the year.

All Time Favorite Coffee Jingles

I have consumed a lot of coffee over the last couple of decades, but it's mainly through "trial and error," "word of mouth," or "pure luck," that I found those I've enjoyed the most. And, of course, the folks who reach out and let me know about the great coffees that are out there. But with micro roasters becoming more and more popular, and grocery store coffee being talked about less, even though many supermarket varieties are very good, I can't help but remember some of those jingles and television commercials that remain etched in my mind.
